Yasmine Tiana 200 HR YTT
Yasmine is a passionate yoga instructor who believes in the profound power of yoga to transcend not only the physical but also the mental and emotional barriers that often hold us captive. She graduated from Syracuse University in 2021 #goorange with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. It was after graduating and working at a local news station for almost a year that she realized how much our current world is unequipped to support our spiritual needs and how media plays a role in perpetuating fear-based programs that activate our sympathetic nervous systems, causing many individuals to live chronically in fear. She was determined to be the change she wanted to see in the media. Before she finished her yoga teacher training abroad in Sicily, Italy she quit her job and started her own media company called Uprooted which specializes in telling the stories of the African diaspora outside of the white gaze, without the fear-based programming that we see in traditional media. Now a certified instructor, her practice is rooted in a deep desire for healing and growth, and she is particularly dedicated to supporting people in nurturing a harmonious relationship with their nervous systems.
