Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercise

TRE: A gentle technique that uses a set of simple body movements to release stress or tension that accumulates from everyday circumstances of life. You will learn how to safely access your body’s natural shaking response for releasing stress and tension. 


How does it work?

The TRE movements stretch and mildly tire the legs, triggering an involuntary shaking and trembling response, which begins in the legs and often spreads throughout the body. This natural response is the nervous system discharging long-held tension and unconscious body contractions. 

When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe environment, your body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance. 

Once learned, individuals then have this valuable skill in which they can use at anytime throughout their life, as a stress reduction technique
