What is TRE? 

Tension &Trauma Releasing Exercise

A gentle technique that uses a set of simple body movements to release stress or tension that accumulates from everyday circumstances of life. You will learn how to safely access your body’s natural shaking response for releasing stress and tension. 

The TRE movements stretch and mildly tire the legs, triggering an involuntary shaking and trembling response, which begins in the legs and often spreads throughout the body. This natural response is the nervous system discharging long-held tension and unconscious body contractions. 

When this muscular shaking/vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe environment, your body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance. 

Once learned, this is a valuable skill individuals have throughout life as a stress reduction tool.
